Had a beautiful bowl of homemade buckwheat udon noodles - and opted for the creamy corn special and the wasabi beef. From past reviews, I feel that the 1 star ratings were very unfair and overly harsh. it seemed there was a fire which devastated the main building. The owners have tried to repair this and continue operations at the same time - which is difficult for any small business. Because of this, you order your noodles at a temporary container where they have set up a temporary kitchen. When it is done, they call you to pick up from the counter. If you are accustomed to the old restaurant, then the system may seem very impersonal but I believe they are trying their best. The lady who served us was very polite and friendly, and took us through the options and what she recommends for the day. In the main building where you eat, there is a faint after fire smell - and yes, it will take time to fix. The noodles themselves are fantastic - they are made from whole grains and generous in portion. I would say that while their menu is limited from before, they are still striving to make the best out of their current situation. So when visiting, please bear in mind that the environment and even menu might not be as before - but it is still regardless, friendly and delicious. Hopefully, with the right support, they can rebuild and restore :)

What a gem in the middle of nowhere. I arrived near the end of lunch and was enthusiastically encouraged to order the creamy hot corn udon. It wasn't what I was planning on when I arrived, but I was game to try. Oh my, it was quite delicious! And I got a few extra items on the house! The proprietor was so happy she said because I was the first to order this item. I'd not done creamy udon before, but I'm hooked! Definitely worth a stop and with the 🗻 right across the street, the view is amazing! 🤩

The food was amazingly good. I got the hot wasabi beef udon, and it was absolutely delicious! The udon is perfectly cooked, and the texture was the right kind of chewy. The beef was soft and flavorful. The staff was also very friendly and patient. You need to try their recommended grilled squid, its a great meal starter. Will definitely be back and bring friends!

The udon selection here was delicious, personally one of the best bowls we’ve had. The noodles were chewy, ultra long and had really balanced flavour and textures. Portion size is generous and the owner’s so kind. We got a complimentary plate of grilled dango and was sent off with waves as we were driving away. Overall, though the wait was little long (around 30mins) the place was lovely, I think it is worth your while, plus you have a great view of mt yotei.
