Stylish but slow Interesting cook on the sand and bricks restaurant Food quality is great, you only get to choose between shabu shabu or bbq set, you can add on extras. A little pricey and slow.

Ordered sukiyaki premium beef set..quality food but portion is kinda small. Ambience is great. And there is a bar counter for drinks before dinner.

They aren't strict with enforcing the two-hour time limits, so expect to wait and stand in their cramped holding area for at least 20 minutes. Staff aren't too proficient in English. The BBQ set was phenomenal though and was worth the price.

Very average kaiseki. It's a shame because I remember coming here about 8 years ago and remember the food to be much better. Maybe management has changed... I got the BBQ option. Very small portions is what struck me first. I opted for the upgraded wagyu for an extra 3000 yen, which ended up being really quite average. Not worth it. They serve you sashimi as one of the courses but include salmon which I always find weird. I've never been to a good authentic Japanese restaurant where they would serve salmon sashimi. Only place I see this served as sashimi is in Genki sushi and restaurants that predominantly serve to foreigners. My wife had the shabu shabu. Again, small portions. She also ordered the tempura add on. The tempura sauce comes with a radish puree which you mix in with the sauce for dipping. It literally has no monetary worth. She asks for a bit more of the puree for her dipping sauce and is refused by the server. The biggest joke is the kids menu. 4000 yen gets your kid a hamburger Patty, less than 10 fries, a sausage and some vegetables. Bill came to nearly 55000 yen. I know Niseko has gotten expensive. And most of the time I can live with that if the food quality and service warrants it. Yo fails on both counts. Would recommend to avoid and if you need shabu shabu go to Ryunabe in Hirafu. If you need BBQ/yakiniku go to the many Japanese/Korean joints in Kutchan.
