We have been traveling around Japan for the past week and a half and agree that this is the best tempura we have eaten yet. Definitely worth a try!

I have to say this is such a rare find. We went for the 5000¥ set menu which was plenty of food so really good value around here. The three little pieces of tempuras as starters were very good. One of the pieces was avocado and to serve it the way they did was fantastic. I like their tempuras. Light and sticks well in my opinion. The way the aubergine was cooked is superb! I’ve never had it like this - crispy, dark purple and not brown and when you bite into it, soft and not stringy. The tempuras all have a clean feel not like those that cooked too long in deep fried oil. Based on the color of the tempuras, they must change oil very frequently. The shrimp is tasty and fresh, both sashimi’s and tempura’s versions. The palate opener served between dishes is also delicious. The miso is tasty and light. Not salty like many places. The end note was yuzu sorbet and that too was a great way to end the meal. Overall we were so pleased with this place that we made a reservation to return in a couple of days.

So so. Pleasant street view from the bench table along the window. Waiter wasn’t aware that karaage was the Japanese name for deep fried chicken and that about summed up the experience. Tempura was ok but nothing special.

Totally over priced. You can get the same portion of tempura in other restaurants around there for 30% off. Don’t order the seafood tempura plate which cost you $3,000 YEN because on the menu it says king crab included but you will only get fish. We order 3 servings and asked the waitress why there is no crab at all and there was no answer at all.

Excellent service, we were a party of 3 and gave us 3 pieces of tempura (menu promised 2) per order. Cosy and classy vibe. 10/10 would recommend.
