I wanted to try this place since there aren’t many sushi options in Hirafu. The staff were friendly and the food was fresh, but overall it was pretty average. For the price, it felt a bit overpriced, which I can agree with based on what others have said.

My wife and I had dinner here and spent 35k for the both of us. We were utterly disappointed.. the fish did not taste fresh to the point my wife couldn’t finish one of the Uni Nigiri we ordered. Do the price we spent we would have eaten a wonderful Omakase in one of the high end restaurants around. I do not recommend.. Staff was very friendly though.

OK it isn't the cheapest restaurant in town but it is a quintessentially Japanese restaurant and we found the service discrete, attentive and rapid. The atmosphere is quiet as opposed to some of the other outlets nearby that are undoubtedly cheaper - each to their own. We were very happy with our meal here and would go back.

Located on the corner of the main intersection of Hirafu, Fuji Sushi is almost impossible to miss with their large food display on the corner. I stopped here for an early dinner and was seated immediately near the entrance and sushi bar. They immediately served some hot tea (the first cup is complimentary) which was a nice touch on a cold day. They have a lot of traditional Japanese food and I decided to order something lighter and opted for the Tempura dinner set. It wasn't cheap but had a large variety of different food to try including some sashimi. The food arrived quickly and was beautifully presented. I spilled some of the miso soup (the lid can get stuck with the steam) and they quickly replaced it. All of the food (see picture) was excellent and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place. Staff was very friendly and quick.

15/12/25 Niseko Hirafu We ordered beef steak, fried chicken, Cawan mushi, sukiyaki beef and few other dishes. The staff are attentive and provided a great service. The food is average. Overall it’s a good dining experience.
