I finally stopped by Tenraku, which I'd been curious about but kept missing the chance to try. There's parking in front of the shop. There are spaces for 3 cars, but they're narrow and the lines are faint, so let's just park straddling them. When you go in, the owner greets you cheerfully. There are 7 counter seats and two 4-person tables in the tatami area. The interior is bright and clean. I ordered the tendon (with soup, pickles, and salad; 1,400 yen when I visited), which a friend told me was delicious. The owner said, “Wait till the oil heats up!” but in the end I didn't wait long. Here comes the tendon—boom! Crispy shungiku?, eggplant, 2 shrimp, nori sandwiching thinly sliced scallop, squid, and more. Lately I'd only been eating tendon with thin, unsatisfying sauce, so this slightly strong, salty sauce is a rare treat? The rice portion is a bit small. The owner told me that, surprisingly, they plan to close at the end of this month (September 2023). Apparently they won't be doing any closing promotion. In that case, if it's okay, let me promote it here? (lol) If you're unsure where to eat, until the end of this month, go to Tenraku without hesitation! The bill was 1,080 yen, which surprised me. Had sushi and tempura. It was delicious Edomae? sushi. The counter where you eat the owner's recommended grilled fish looks nice too. The owner also gave us delicacies like homemade herring shiokara on the house, and the sake kept flowing. Prices are on the high side, but I think the food is delicious enough to be worth it!

Both the owner and his wife are friendly, which puts you in a good mood. The food is carefully prepared, so although it's a bit pricey, it delivers satisfaction to match.

The proprietress didn't seem very friendly. Shouldn't you at least smile a bit at customers who come in?
