I drove there looking forward to Sokodai and Sogakudai too, but personally it wasn't quite what I'd imagined? Especially at Sokodai, there was a building, but it had become abandoned with no upkeep, and it felt lonely... Also, you're actually supposed to be able to see two lakes, but barely just one, and there are weeds in front making it hard to see There was a sign, at least.

I went with high expectations, but the view was so-so. I think it's fine as a 'go if you have time to spare' spot. When I parked in the parking lot (quite spacious), I came across a deer.

You can just skip it; the trees have grown tall so you can't see the twin lakes hidden behind them, and there's no toilet either.

Came here on 5/7/2024 and couldn't see any scenery at all; the archway was surrounded by withered yellow weeds, and the building was damaged and left unattended, what a pity!
