Went for the first time in a while and the master had gotten a bit older😁 But still kind of funny as always😄 The meat in the pork curry was tender and delicious. (The photo is katsu curry) The coffee was good too😊 I'll come eat again😌

The hamburg steak curry is outstanding! It comes with a drink, which is rare these days, and it's cheap too! Maybe because the owner cooks alone, the hamburg steak sells out fairly often. If you really want to have it, I recommend going right when they open.

I visited once a few years ago, and this was my second time. This time I ordered the “Shrimp Carbonara” for 1000 yen, and my partner had the hamburg steak for 900 yen & rice for 150 yen. The shrimp carbonara had four or five fairly large shrimp and was delicious. There were plenty of mushrooms too, and the pasta portion itself was big—very hearty and satisfying. I didn't taste my partner's hamburg steak, but they said “Delicious!”, so we were both very satisfied. Also…… it's written on the menu too, but if you order a meal, drinks and coffee are actually free, and the coffee is properly ground from beans and delicious.

Overall I'm satisfied! Even for me, used to lightly seasoned food, the pasta tasted bland. Adding grated cheese and Tabasco made it just right😂 Maybe it worked out for me since I like things spicy lol Shrimp carbonara. The pasta was cooked perfectly! The shrimp were big and plentiful! Not as rich as a typical carbonara—more on the light side. For the omelet curry, you can choose beef, pork, shrimp, or minced meat, and I went with beef. The demi sauce is like hayashi rice, light and sweetish. Not my preferred taste, and there was a slight beefy smell, but the sauce came on the side so it stayed warm, the egg was fluffy, and the rice was delicious, which was nice. The shrimp in the pasta was delicious, so maybe choosing shrimp would be a good idea👀 According to a posted notice, the rice is Koshihikari from Yamagata Prefecture, which might be why even plain white rice wasn't mushy and went well with the omelet. Also, every menu item comes with a drink of your choice; I had hot coffee. They said it was an Americano, but they ground the beans on the spot! and made espresso. Pretty good coffee. The owner isn't very friendly, but with the dim interior and extensive menu, it was an interesting space full of character.

The master runs the place solo, and when you walk in there's no “welcome” or anything. Even after you sit down, you're left alone for a while. It was busy, so it can't be helped while they're cooking. Once free, they bring you water. Ordered the shrimp omelet curry. There were about 5 big shrimp. Plenty of roux, so much it was left over. A strongly flavored curry. Comes with a drink, good value. The shop has a Showa-retro vibe, and the interior is on the dark side.
