Was recommended this restaurant and we loved it. It was our first time eating Zangi fried chicken and it was amazing, super juicy and delicious. The only downside is that this restaurant allows smoking. The staff were super nice and friendly and moved us to the front of the restaurant where we could watch the master cook our food on the charcoal grill. Definitely will be coming back again.

The shop and the grilled oyster was recommended by a chef in Sapporo. Great seafood here with good prize. Highly recommended

Osu, Kurenai here! I went to Hokkaido! I'm charging headfirst into this treasure trove of food Yoroshiku! 4 hours by train from Sapporo I made it to Kushiro City, Hokkaido! Honestly I wanted to blast over the mountain passes by car but don't underestimate how huge Hokkaido is! So yeah, thanks JR! The izakaya "Marutomo Suisan" that a local recommended is supposedly Kushiro's toughest izakaya, about a 5-minute walk from the station! The spacious place takes everyone from solo drinkers to big groups, a hardcore "bring it on" style, it's the best! It was insanely packed that day too! As expected of Kushiro, the toughest port town, they've got a crazy lineup of seafood! And the prices are fair too! Of course I wanted to eat everything but I tearfully narrowed it down to a few dishes! Above all, the herring sashimi was way too good! Seems like you can't eat it unless it's super fresh Crab packed to bursting in its shell, the outer roe of king crab, and more While drinking Sapporo Classic I had the best seafood! As someone who preaches the "seafood is the ultimate drinking food" theory, it was a dream of a place! Next time I wanna come in early autumn! This izakaya is hardcore!
