Surprisingly good exhibition of the paintings of one artist.

It's an art museum with a dreamlike atmosphere and music playing. However, it isn't large inside, and even taking your time to look around takes less than 1 hour. I don't know much about paintings, but my impression was that many of them had a fairytale feel rather than a highbrow one.

I made a special trip there on March 17, 2024, but it was closed. I wonder if it closes in winter because there are fewer visitors

There were more exhibits than I expected, and they were well worth seeing.

I was deeply moved by the majestic 釧路湿原, and felt an indescribable joy knowing that someone here had transformed that emotion into art. The different ways the wetlands are expressed in each work are extraordinarily beautiful.
