A detour during my Hokkaido touring trip. Joypack Chicken, Kushiro's soul food, had caught my interest for a long time! I finally got to visit. Even though it was perhaps almost closing time?, they made it for me, and I'm truly grateful! I couldn't wait until the accommodation and took a bite in the parking lot♬ The taste was fantastic too. The chicken was crispy outside, very juicy inside, and piping hot! The juices gushed out, almost enough to burn me. The curry-flavored coating goes well too. Exceptionally delicious! I meant to eat just 1, but ended up eating 2! After returning to the riders' lodge, I briefly microwaved some and ate it, and that was delicious too! Since coming to Hokkaido, the zangi and chicken at roadside stations and Secoma were delicious too, but this is in a different league. Thank you for the meal.

Visited August 2026 I called to reserve in advance, but nobody answered at all, so I eventually gave up and came in person. There were customers ahead of me, but they were frying continuously and immediately gave me some from the warmer, so I was glad I could buy without waiting. The curry chicken was crispy and juicy, the curry spices stimulated my appetite, and there were few small bones, making it easy to eat. Visited October 2025 The curry chicken has a punchy, spiced flavor, crispy and crunchy outside and juicy inside, with a taste that boosts your appetite. The nori shio-flavored Joichiki has a lovely aonori flavor and no bones, making it delicious and perfect for children too. They serve it freshly fried after you order, so some people were biting straight into it in their cars. A local specialty you can only enjoy here.

I heard it was popular in Kushiro, so I stopped by for takeout. The exterior is just too cute。。。 Apparently they'll prepare your order if you call, but I deliberately ordered at the shop. The freshly made fries were incredibly delicious!! I was impressed, thinking it really must be because the potatoes themselves are so good. That's Hokkaido for you♪ I didn't eat the chicken freshly made, so it didn't surpass the impression the fries made, but it was still tasty.
