When two Korean 🇰🇷 guys leave a restaurant review, that says it all, right? So delicious. (This is the real deal.) If you're looking not for overly heavy food, not a bar or izakaya, but simple yet warm home-style cooking, go here. We were lucky. There aren't many places for a late dinner around here, but we found unexpected happiness at a place we stopped by by chance. Everyone was so kind and the food was excellent. (Hamburg steak, omelet) Note that one drink per person is required
View on GoogleWent around lunchtime! 1 customer before me, none after. I ordered the popular Borga rice and the hamburg steak (you can choose 200g or 150g)! It took just under 30 minutes for the food to arrive! They explained the hamburg is baked in the oven so it takes time 😊 Both were delicious beyond my expectations, the first shop in ages to move me this much 😳 Portions are a bit on the large side, I got really full! The service was very pleasant, and I definitely want to go eat there again! There's parking but not much.
View on GoogleUsed it for izakaya-style drinks and dinner. The photo is the Borga rice. An omelet sealing in a beautiful runny center, topped with special demi-glace sauce! And the katsu as the unsung hero was just right, an exquisite dish I devoured. Each element was highly polished, assembled into a balance-focused combo. One drawback is that the parking is a bit confusing. But the demi-glace sauce really does a great job and is delicious!

The interior is a homey space with a counter and a raised tatami area. The gentle master runs the place single-handedly, and their warm personality is one of the reasons regulars keep coming back. The signature dish is Volga Rice (ボルガライス), a local specialty of Fukui Prefecture. It's an exquisite dish of fluffy, creamy omurice topped with a crispy pork cutlet and generously covered in a superb homemade demi-glace sauce. The juicy hamburg steak that spills its juices when you cut into it is also popular, and both showcase the owner's careful craftsmanship. The many Western-style dishes on the menu have a reputation that 'everything you eat is delicious.' Why not spend a blissful moment with heartwarming food in this cozy space? It's a popular place, so arriving early is recommended.
View on GoogleIt was delicious. Looks, taste, and price all ⭕️ I had the Volga Rice on its own for 1580 yen. It's a dimly lit izakaya that also does lunch. There's counter seating and tatami seating, and there was also a family with kids, so it was lively. For parking 🅿️, I was told it's fine to park in front of the snack bar, except in front of the soba shop next door.
