The oldest shop in Aka-chochin Yokocho It's full with 6 or 7 people, so depending on the time you may not get in. The seasonal dishes recommended on the board are a good bet. The yakisoba loaded with grated horseradish that the regular next to me had looked delicious. I just barely got to have the spring mountain vegetable tempura. Wild udo, fuki, gyoja ninniku (wild garlic) and more, given by relatives in Betsukai-cho. It goes great with drinks. It's lively with locals and tourists.

A place where small shops selling all sorts of things are gathered. The prices can't really be called cheap, but recommended if you want to mingle with locals and get swept up in the atmosphere. Don't try to fill up here; visit after you've eaten.
