First visit around 2 p.m. Even at that time, there were 3 or 4 customers ahead of me. The shop looks just like a stylish coffee shop. I was shown to a table in the back. Ordered the shoyu ramen for 900 yen. The bowl arrived in under 5 minutes. Thin, curly noodles. They pick up the soup nicely. The soup looks fairly clear, but it's a slightly strong soy sauce flavor. The chashu is outstanding. Tender and well-flavored. Nori, naruto, thin menma, and green onion—simple, but a delicious bowl.

The photo is the soy sauce chashu-men. Kushiro's classic soy sauce broth with thin noodles. Topped with big, tender chashu. It was really delicious. The road in front of the shop is narrow, but quite a lot of cars go by. (Because there's a large shopping mall nearby) Lots of cars speed too, so be careful.

Whenever I go to Kushiro once a year, I always stop by. I used to go to the classic Maruhira, but because of the poor access and such, now it's either here or Natsubori. I mostly get shio and sometimes miso; the shio has a strong dashi flavor, and the miso is a bit sweet and rich (maybe it's richer because it's vegetable ramen). The jumbo ramen is really huge, so it's tough unless you're a pretty big eater. But I always end up wanting the jumbo…

I had the soy sauce. The dashi really comes through and it had a gentle flavor. It was delicious!

Ordered the shoyu ramen. A sweetish soy sauce flavor, with the thin noodles typical of Kushiro ramen. The chashu falls apart but is thick-cut. Light and easy to eat. About 13 counter seats, two 2-person tables, and there seem to be more tables in the back, so the place is fairly spacious.
