A nice place to go see all around the area without climbing a mountain. Great for seeing sunset or sunrise.

I visit Hokkaido every year and thought I had explored all of eastern Hokkaido, then found this observation tower. Climbing to the top is a little tough, but even my mother, in her late 80s with bad legs, managed it! My younger sister, who is afraid of heights, couldn’t make it up in the end, though. The incredible scenery is breathtaking!!

An observation point in Kiyosato Town where, on clear days, you can see far from Okhotsk to the Shiretoko mountain range and Mount Shari. In particular, the view of Mount Shari from here is spectacular.
