On Saturday, the first day of a long holiday, I visited at 18:00 without a reservation, not expecting much, and just barely got in. After climbing the steep stairs and opening the door, smoke was already billowing inside. The owner is unfriendly, but hands you a plastic bag to put your jacket in. I wrote beer, pork offal, pork tongue, pork cartilage, and タケノコ on a notepad to order. The offal arrived first in an amount that didn't look like a single serving, and as the other meats arrived I started worrying whether I could finish them. Still, the delicious meat kept me eating. The meat itself isn't seasoned, so you adjust the flavor with the homemade sauce and table condiments. Personally, I got hooked on sprinkling garlic powder over it and using a mixed lemon and salted green onion sauce. I somehow finished everything, and the bill was 2700円. All this food at this price—just what you'd expect from 北見, the city of yakiniku.
View on GoogleI got the timing right and was able to visit on a weekday I'd seen quite a few people writing about the service, so I wondered what it would be like But I found the setting perfectly acceptable People who expect excessive service and can't adjust their own expectations don't need to go out of their way to have an unpleasant experience, so I'd recommend somewhere else A family was there before me, making 2 parties including me The owner quietly prepares meat while handling orders. When he was done, he sat at the end of the counter watching TV, haha His wife takes orders normally too, and I had no complaints at all about eating there When the family left, they were happily chatting with the child too Then about 3 more parties arrived: a strong-charactered Kansai person and 2 groups of 4 From that point things ran at the couple's pace, so I thought it probably depended on the number of orders and workload Impatient people probably shouldn't go out of their way to visit at peak times, haha The sauce, pork offal, and harami were delicious! The sauce! A flavor you never get tired of, goes with both drinks and rice, seems like a miso sauce but also has a perfectly balanced Chaliapin-like quality that makes you absolutely want to dip your meat in it Just remembering it makes me want a beer, haha
View on GoogleAfter reading the reviews, it took courage to go in, and I wandered around for about 15 minutes, but I'm glad I went in, haha! I went alone, but both the owner and the elderly lady treated me very well! The meat and offal were delicious, and I had a great time
View on GooglePersonally, when it comes to 北見 yakiniku, this is the place. This price and quality are their hospitality. If you dislike not being showered with smiles, just don't go. In return, the flavor is outstanding. Even from the storefront, I think they want customers who understand the place. By the way, the lady is a nice person you can have a proper conversation with. This is where I learned how delicious sagari and pork throat cartilage are, and their fresh lamb is superb. タケノコ (not the vegetable) and premium mino are delicious too. Basically, you can't go wrong with anything you eat. Since the two of them are getting older, I'd like to visit whenever I can. Thanks for the meal.
View on GoogleCheap and delicious!! But don't expect friendly service. I'd read the reviews beforehand, but even so, I felt seriously out of place... and very uncomfortable. Be prepared to be brusquely shown to a seat, feel pressured to order, and have your food served without a word... There are about 20 seats, and the smoke is intense (regulars bring their own trash bags for clothes and bags, lol). There aren't many menu items, but my picks are jingisukan (fresh lamb!), beef sagari, and beef offal. The meat is thick, and the generous portions are very satisfying. They only have homemade jingisukan sauce, so otherwise you use salt and pepper, but I recommend that because you can taste the sweetness of the fat. By the end, maybe... I did sort of feel a little closer to the people at the restaurant(^_^;) But it really was delicious!
