A glowing little surprise. The dessert is made to order and arrived piping hot, with a delicate crispy batter wrapped around the filling from head to tail. Light, fresh, and deeply satisfying — such a lovely find.

A taiyaki shop along the national highway. You can also wait inside the shop. After waiting about 5 minutes, it was served fresh off the griddle!

The parking lot is small, but since they serve it freshly baked after you order, the piping hot thin-skinned taiyaki is really delicious. You can change to a pie crust, but this time I went with the regular. When it gets cold, you really want to eat something piping hot, don't you. I'll post some of the menu and prices. They're apparently closed on Mondays.
