I tried the chicken soba at this restaurant in Kitami and was impressed by the flavors and value. The soba was delicious and came with a complimentary onigiri, which was a nice touch. Additionally, the restaurant had good AC, which was much appreciated during the hot summer weather. Overall, I highly recommend this spot for anyone in the area looking for a tasty bowl of soba.

This is a popular soba restaurant in Kitami City. I had a large seiro (omori soba). The thinly cut soba was reasonably tasty. Looking closely? There were black specks in the soba, so perhaps they use buckwheat flour from near the hull?? That gave it a nice aroma, and it felt smooth to slurp. I also thought the complimentary onigiri was a nice, perfectly sized palate break. If I had to point something out, the soba portion seems insufficient? Kamo seiro with warm broth seems popular with men, but I saw many ordering extra soba (700円). I had the large seiro too, but? I felt I could still eat plenty more.😅🙏 In the end, I made do with the cloudy white soba cooking water, which looked filling. It was delicious.

I stopped by while visiting home. Since they're only open for lunch, I arrived right when they opened! It filled up in no time!! Service was quick, and I was satisfied with both the taste and presentation. Tables turn over quickly, so you probably won't have to wait long. The parking lot is spacious too, which is reassuring😄 Please check which days they're open.

Although it was full, they served it in ８ minutes★ The soba was thin, firm, and went down smoothly★ A small onigiri comes with it complimentary★ There aren't any menu items that feel particularly local, so rather than a place for tourists, it feels like a neighborhood soba shop beloved by the locals.

〇Written on ２０２２年２月２０日 A soba restaurant less than １０ minutes on foot from JR Kitami Station. My first visit was in early ２０２２年１月. That day, I took a train toward the Okhotsk area for the first time in several years. I've visited Kitami many times as a town (or rather, a station), but had hardly ever walked around the city. So I decided to have lunch in Kitami while also exploring, and visited this place I'd seen in reviews. I ordered 「ten seiro」. It came with ２ shrimp tempura, and I thought it was reasonably priced. The soba was delicious too. Another nice service is that you can get a small 「onigiri」 if you want one. I'd definitely like to return if I visit Kitami again. It seems to be popular, and I had to wait briefly on a chair inside before being shown to a seat, so JR passengers and others might want to keep an eye on the time.
