A valuable museum from the Taisho era. I was very moved😊 Please watch out for its closing days.
View on GoogleYou can look around freely. I think this truly deserves World Heritage status. Seeing this in this day and age is wonderful. I feel it has endured and survived through so much. It's wonderful.
View on GoogleRenovation work was carried out in Reiwa 2, and both the interior and exterior are now very clean and well maintained. Exhibits include items used in everyday life back then and the history of the post station, and I learned a great deal. Perhaps local residents maintain it—the inside is very clean. Slippers are provided, and there's a visitor guestbook. It's unstaffed, but boards explain the history in detail, so you can look around peacefully. The stairs to the 2nd floor are steep, and there are changes in floor level and glass doors, so care is needed. (As of 2023/8) Open → April 1–November 30: Wednesday–Sunday (9:00–17:00) Closed → every Monday and Tuesday, and during winter
View on GoogleA valuable historical legacy. It's wonderfully preserved. You can go up to the 2nd floor. The one-and-a-half-ken-wide tokonoma and fusuma doors almost twice the usual width suggest that the owner at the time was a prominent figure. I'd like to express my deep respect for the efforts of everyone involved.
View on GoogleUnstaffed, with free admission. It has the feel of Hokkaido's pioneering days. However, there's not much to see, so you'll finish looking around in no time.
