Yakiniku restaurant

★ 4.1672 reviews

『Mikakuen Sohonten』 is a long-established yakiniku restaurant founded in Showa 43 (1968), run directly by the Sakaguchi butcher shop that has woven the history of "Kitami, the Yakiniku Town." The "raw sagari" and "thick-cut beef tongue," aged in-house by craftsmen who judge the perfect time to eat, and the original "ice-chilled raw hormone," chilled with ice under strict freshness control to bring out sweetness and springiness, are our signature items and synonymous with Kitami yakiniku. We also take pride in the reliable quality unique to a butcher-run restaurant, such as the rare "aged Koshimizu wagyu" purchased as a whole animal. All seats support authentic charcoal grilling, locking in the meat's natural flavor with far infrared. The retro, calm interior has counter seats and tatami seating, and we deliver a superb yakiniku experience together with original menu items exclusive to our shop…

Meats are just ok, the time limit is really strict, we're forced to leave before meat for last run cooked.

If you come to Kitami, it's Mikakuen✨️ so I went and had the 『ice-chilled hormone』! I hardly ever eat offal normally. No odor and so springy! 『So good✨️』 Mikakuen's special salt and pepper goes so well with it! I got another plate😊 The sagari, cold noodles, and onions were all delicious too✨️ Thank you for the meal

I'd been disappointed elsewhere, so I came from far away and went into this as my second stop, wanting to change my image of Kitami yakiniku. When I talked to the staff member who served us, they listened sincerely and gave advice on tasting just a little of what's truly delicious, and I'm very grateful. If I had known from the start, I would have wanted to come here. If I get another chance, it's a restaurant I'd like to repeat from the beginning. Please try the thick-cut premium sagari.
