Spicy ramen: I ordered the Kaminari Ramen for 950 yen. If not for the owner's last words, it would've been ☆1. Soup The soup is really delicious. On the lighter side but full of umami, you can just keep sipping it. Noodles Ordinary. What is it. They don't match the soup? Hmm. Toppings Just stir-fried. No flavor. Overall The soup is really delicious, but somehow it doesn't come together. Why is that? Such a waste. Truly. 950 yen for this is expensive. Not convincing. Owner Maybe they saw me sprinkling shichimi, because at checkout they said with a big grin, "Next time just tell me and I can adjust the spice level." They must be a really warmhearted owner. I bet the regulars keep coming back and it's a beloved shop. That's exactly why it feels like such a shame. Maybe I should've gotten the motsu ramen others wrote about

The vegetables were crunchy and delicious. It was cheap too.

Ordered the butter ramen. The soup, or the butter, tastes like potato. The chashu was the dry kind with no fat at all. Overall it tastes of potato, but I didn't find it especially delicious. I had no complaints about the owner's behavior, but ants crawling around on the table was unhygienic and didn't sit well with me. Judging by other reviews, it seems the one to try was the motsu ramen. I don't feel like going back.

Old-fashioned rich, heavy-style ramen. The recommendation is the motsu ramen, but pretty much anything you eat is fine. That said, the natto ramen will probably divide opinions. The price is so-so for ramen, so it doesn't feel like much of a bargain.

I ordered the miso, but both the taste and portion were very ordinary. Judging by other people's reviews, the motsu ramen seems to be the one to get, so if there's a next time I'll try ordering that.
