If you are a cheese lover and want to experience a unique delicacy, Takara Japanese cheese from the Hokkaido region is undoubtedly the perfect choice. Such an amazing experience going there. At the store, please don’t miss the homemade ice creams, gorgeous. And then, cheese available like aged Raclette or Saint Felicien were delicious ! As frenchies living in Japan, I can say we were absolutely amazed by the quality of the products. Go there without an hesitation !

New building houses the cheese factory and shop. Very high quality cheese and a nice place to stop and walk around. You can get close to the cows in the summer time.

Tip: check their opening hours in advance on Instagram or Facebook - they regularly update and you don't want to arrive at a closed door. We did a detour specifically for Takara and it was so worth it. The soft ice was the best we had in Hokkaido and the cheeses are of the highest quality - even compared to the ones we have in Europe. And we are certified cheese lovers! It was also fun to see the owner arriving just in time for opening hour from his walk - he was extremely friendly and showed us his recommendations!
