Viewing deck directly above the Shinkansen track. It's currently inaccessible at the moment due to snow.

Great Place to see the shinkansen. Sadly I do not think it is accessible by public transportation...

The Shinkansen and freight trains look a little distant, but there's a free telescope, so it's quite enjoyable. I arrived around 6:50 on Sunday morning, and nobody was there at the time. Around 7：15, 1 car arrived, so I left.

I walked from Kikonai Station, and I think it took a little over 30 minutes. The road was straight, so it wasn't bad, but the strong wind made walking difficult. Buses that come nearby are extremely infrequent, and you still have to walk quite a way after getting off, so the only options are a taxi or walking. The times when trains pass are posted, so it's probably best to time your visit accordingly. There's abso~lutely nothing nearby. ㅡㅅㅡ

A free hidden gem. Parking is available. The Shinkansen was moving slowly.
