Quaint little shop, tatami seating. Very fresh sushi! Thick cut. Lots of fresh wasabi on the sushi, I made a mistake of asking for extra, without knowing that it’s a lot of wasabi. Got the 9 piece premium set, comes with tea and a scallop soup. Really enjoyed it!

Don’t be fooled by its unassuming exterior and basic interior. We had the best sushi ever in this little sushi restaurant. Even Lewis Hamilton, F1 driver, dine there in 2018. I recommend getting the best set (3,000 yen) which has chutoro (fatty tuna), abalone, scallop, prawn, ikura (salmon roe) and others, they’re all great! The soup that has seaweed and scallops is very tasty too. Also, there’s an interesting collection of key holders, so bring a key holder if you have something interesting that you’d like to have it display there. There are some free public parking next to the restaurant, pretty convenient.

Hidden Gem. Road across the mountain for this hidden gem tucked away in the rural plains of Hokkaido. I highly recommend it - Best toro of my life and amazingly friendly warm atmosphere. It's no wonder they get so many repeat customers from across the world including Louis Hamilton Omakase is the order of choice at 3800 yen and melt in your moth toro for less than 600!

Best fresh sushi in small cute fishing village restaurant - very popular so may need to wait in line for up to an hour - even longer at weekends. Very generous fish sizes - we had omakase (chef’s choice) plus 6 separate sushi pieces. Hamachi, chu-toro and ikura were top 3.
