An observation tower that comes into view while driving along the coastal road. But there's quite a climb, and even a bear warning sign❗️Being told to be careful doesn't give me much I can actually do, so I gave up on climbing. Still, even from the road you can see the wildness of 日本海 and the dramatic scenery of the unusual rocks, so there's no need to force yourself to climb…….

Visited on 2021/11/17 at around 15:30. No toilets. Spectacular views of the sea and cliffs colored by the sunset! I loved it. There were very few passing cars, so no one else came, and I could quietly enjoy the scenery. Someone recommended it on a blog, saying, “Many people see the northern coast of 積丹半島 as far as 神威岬 and then turn back, but it's what lies beyond that I really want them to see.” I wholeheartedly agree. The scenery is completely different from the coast leading up to 神威岬. It would be a waste to leave without seeing these magnificent, dramatic cliff faces and the vast ocean! The binoculars provided aren't coin-operated, so you can use them freely. Even the cracks in the offshore rocks were crystal clear. They look like rocks formed from solidified lava. I couldn't spot any living creatures, such as birds. There is a monument about 安内小学校, which once stood here, and a coronation monument from the year Emperor Showa formally ascended the throne.

Sorry. The view from this place is fantastic. Unfortunately, the facilities aren't well maintained, so I'll give it an average rating as a park. Both of the 2 benches are broken. At least the grass had been cut, so spending a leisurely time here is questionable, but for enjoying the scenery as a viewpoint, I can give it 4 stars. It's probably a matter of budget, but it's a shame😅

This observation park, created on the former site of 安内小学校, is a top recommendation for a short break, with its clear blue sea and shimmering patterns of waves. The view from the observation tower overlooking 西積丹 can only be described as breathtaking. Even without climbing to the tower, you can enjoy the view from the roadside parking lot.

There's a parking lot, but I couldn't find where the path up begins. I think it's probably not maintained, and the overgrown grass makes it impossible to climb.
