A great find, run by lovely older ladies who made the whole experience feel warm and welcoming. Glad it was open in summer since not everywhere is. We ordered a veg ramen, gyoza made with pork, and the curry, all really good. The ramen portions were huge, and you can choose between miso or salt broth depending on what you're in the mood for. The curry was so good we ended up ordering two servings of curry rice on top of everything else. Great flavor across the board and generous portions for the price. One thing to note, they close early, so plan to grab dinner here earlier in the evening rather than counting on it late. A genuinely solid, satisfying meal and worth seeking out if you're in the area.
View on GoogleDefinitely the best ramen during our 3 week Japan trip. The two ladies are really nice and the service was really really good. The portions are huge and the ramen are loaded with toppings. Only order the jumbo ramen if you are REALLY hungry.
View on GoogleFriendly service , explanations to tourist about different flavors. It was a taste to remember. For me at least. 5 big pork pieces with my dish of excellent ramen for a fair price. Accepts visa payments and is very nice experience for someone that barely speaks japanese. Taste wise - soy sauce flavor was a mild salty type of broth with flavorful thin noodles.
View on GoogleThe place has an old world charm. The 2 lady staff were very welcoming and told us not to squeze. So we occupy 2 tables. There are not many people in June for lunch. There is no other food option available in the main street. The ramen is huge.
View on GoogleHad the Jumbo Ramen. Warning: it feeds three, easy. Ramen was delicious and the service was good (even the old lady spoke a bit of English)! Photo was me almost full, and the ramen looks like it didn’t get eaten…
