It was one of those days that me and my husband are spontaneous enough to visit new places in Japan. After visiting the shrine nearby, we decided to eat lunch in this village. Then we get to discover this nice and cozy place. We ordered one of their special items in the menu, and it was VERY GOOD! Suits the weather perfectly, and the broth was soothing ❤️ The owner and the staff are very friendly too! Would definitely come back here one day 😊❤️
View on GoogleSomewhere in the snowy heart of Hokkaido, where the mountains are dramatic and the air is crisp enough to freeze your ski goggles, I found a noodle shop that deserves a Michelin star… or at least a standing ovation in ski boots. This isn’t just ramen. This is artisanal, handcrafted, mountain-perfected noodle artistry. The texture? Silky yet rebellious. The broth? Deep, complex, and emotionally supportive after a long day in the cold. Every bite tastes like discipline, passion, and probably a secret recipe guarded more carefully than Olympic gold. The owner is an absolute legend — warm, funny, speaks great English, and clearly loves what he does. And here’s the gourmet plot twist: he even created a special noodle dedicated to an Olympic ski jumping champion from Cortina d’Ampezzo. Because apparently regular excellence wasn’t enough — he had to go full Olympic level. If fine dining met a mountain soul and decided to specialize in noodles, this would be it. Go hungry. Leave happy. Consider moving to Hokkaido.
View on GoogleWe didn’t think about finding a good restaurant that late and in this small town. Oh boy we were wrong, the chef welcome us warmly and speak to us in English. He seemed excited and immediately tell us that tonight, his daughter will participate in 2026 Olympic Games (normal high jump). He invited us to join him at the city hall. So we woke up at 2:00 to join him and all the town to cheer up his daughter and the rest of Japan team. It was an amazing experiences. By the way : yes the ramen was incredible ! One of the best I tried in Japan ! Thank you again Kamachan !!
View on GoogleYou know this place is legit the moment you see the walls covered in autographs from famous people. It's a true local legend. My top recommendation is the Hokkaido Miso Ramen. The master is so passionate and clearly dedicated to his craft, and you can really taste that soul in every single bowl. I also saw him kindly explaining in English how to eat ramen to a tourist. It’s not just about the amazing food here; the master's warm and welcoming personality makes the whole experience special.
View on GoogleNot your typical tourist place The ramen is nice and fantastic Very well done, portion is good. No English menu but the staff speaks English and was able to recommend which to order for my wife and 2 kids. Highly recommended!
