It gets 3 stars as the view was nice but as for seeing a waterfall they actually have a sign there with it circled so you can find it!!
View on GoogleThe road is pretty easy to drive, but after arriving I found the waterfall is really far away⋯
View on GoogleAn observation deck you reach by taking the Kurodake Ropeway & pair lift and walking about 20 minutes along the Kamui Forest path from the 7th-station stop. It's not very big and has one bench. There's also a sort of step platform? for taking photos. The trail is well maintained, but it's a bit of a hike, so it puts some strain on your legs and back. I think the view is pretty decent. There are bear warnings, but when I visited there happened to be Chinese tourists hanging around talking loudly, so I was fine without a bear bell.
View on GoogleIf you've come up to the 7th station, unless you're going to the summit, this is the only place to go. About 30 minutes round trip is enough. The waterfall is only very faintly visible, so it's better to go thinking you're just there to see the mountain view
View on GoogleThere's a wooden platform, so climb up and look into the distance. The waterfall is too far away to really make out, but the scenery isn't bad. Nice.
