Best special home cook we tried while we are traveling in Japan. Portion given is generous and reasonable price too! We will be back here when we are back to Hokkaido!

Ordered the miso ramen, spicy. Apparently they use olive oil instead of lard, so it wasn't greasy; it came in a big bowl with lots of vegetables, very filling and delicious. The chopped onion inside adds heat and freshness, which is the same as Hachioji ramen, but they also add fried bits from frying shrimp, and the owner said the recipe is entirely their own without copying anything, so the flavor was deep. At first I was surprised by the atmosphere, overflowing with stuff like a run-down snack bar, but I enjoyed the owner's personality and their stories about having kept at it for 40 years.

Ordered the curry. The rice was microwaved packaged rice, and the roux was meatless, watery school-cookout curry. ¥900. The shop's unsanitariness was maxed out too. I regretted all day having walked into this shop out of curiosity.
