Love the food and the vibe! Worth to stop by if you are passing through the town. We found this lovely place on the way from Hakodate to Otaru, such a lovely find. Recommend!

This restaurant is set in like a private home, so you have to take off your shoes to enter—which made me feel a little nervous at first. You can customize the curry flavor, rice portion, and spiciness to your liking. (fill in small sheet on table) It was my first time having soup curry, and it was delicious—the vegetables had great flavor and texture. I also got a kick out of the menu description for the rice portion: "About the size of one Mt. Iwanai" 🤣 First off, the restaurant is just a regular house, and you take off your shoes to go in. A bit nerve-wracking. You can customize the curry flavor, rice portion, spiciness, and so on to your liking. It was my first time having soup curry, and the vegetables' flavor and texture were great. It was very delicious and I'm glad I went. As for the rice portion on the menu, it says "about one Mt. Iwanai", which cracked me up 🤣

In a word: delicious! A soup curry shop with a gentle atmosphere in a renovated detached house. The owner, who trained at Okushiba Shoten, a famous shop in Sapporo, makes exquisite soup curry. Yummy. If you come to Iwanai, this is the first thing you should eat. The portions are generous too. You can feel the owner's spirit of wanting customers to eat delicious food until they're full.

A restaurant I found while traveling. They explained things carefully, so it was easy to order. Lots of ingredients, carefully cooked. It was very delicious. If I get to go to Iwanai again, I'd like to eat here again.

The fried broccoli 🥦 topping is just huge, fried perfectly, and delicious! And the candy they gave me after the meal is absolutely perfect after soup curry, the best! (The photos are from 2025)
