We came at lunch time and we were immediately taken in by the laid back vibes - a true authentic sushi restaurant no frills attached. we were busy google translating the menu but fret not staff will provide an English menu. We ordered the premium set, chirashi don & ale beer. Food was superb - nothing lacked freshness. Service immaculate. Highly recommend the trip out if you’re staying somewhere nearby.

We had an outstanding meal here — each of us ordered the twelve-piece Omakase nigiri on the menu and agreed it was the best fish we had during our entire two-week visit to Japan. Every piece was impeccably fresh and beautifully balanced, making the whole experience unforgettable. The waitress was incredibly helpful, recommending a cold, dry, smoky sake based on our taste preferences — and she did not disappoint. Great food, thoughtful service, and expertly paired drinks made this one of the highlights of our trip. We’d return in a heartbeat!

Loved the peaceful atmosphere, family business. Connect to a other restaurant next door. Will try that next. Very nicely decorated & clean.

Worth the 1 hour drive from Hirafu. Definitely value for money compared to Hirafu or ski resorts.
