This restaurant has almost too many options. You could easily spend several minutes clicking through their menu looking at all the various types, add ons, and toppings. Other than that the food is fantastic and you can order sizes which will definitely not leave you hungry. I had their Abura Ramen and it was phenomenal.

Not a lot of foreigners stop by so don’t expect much English. However, there are plenty of photos. Kind owner and assistant to help keep the food moving. Miso ramen and chashu were the best! The tsukemen was huge. Great shop!

I think everyone has their own tastes when it comes to ramen, so 'everyone is different, and everyone is good.' With that said, here are my impressions. This time I visited '羅妃焚 総本店' in Iwamizawa and had the miso ramen. The medium-thick curly noodles have a firm chew, and the rich soup clings to them really well. Truly the 'can't-go-wrong' classic miso ramen that Hokkaido natives love dearly. That reliably consistent bowl filled both my heart and my stomach.

I've been here several times, and it really is the main store. Delicious! I've been to the Sapporo shop before too, but the main store feels like it's in a class of its own. I went during the idle hours, but customers kept coming one after another. This time I had the shrimp salt ramen. Tasty. It has depth. The noodle thickness is good too. The extensive menu is another selling point. You won't get bored. Iwamizawa gets a ton of snow, but in that cold, eating this ramen perks you up. Ordering is via touch panel, and the service is good. The shop is along the national highway with a sign, so it's easy to find.
