It was very delicious. I had the tempura oroshi soba. This time I had it with namiko soba, but for cold dishes I prefer sarashina soba. It's a matter of taste, so I think either is fine.

Chicken giblet seiro! Insanely delicious! Seriously good! There was a review saying the noodles were short, but it didn't bother me at all, and the broth, noodles, and giblets were so good that I'd already decided to come back while I was still eating ^_^ I'll be back

The taste is very good. The limited-quantity sarashina soba and inaka soba are tempting, but the namiko soba is delicious. However, is cutting the soba short intentional? You can't slurp it smoothly, which is a bit unsatisfying. As for how to eat it, I recommend the seiro. The noodles coat nicely in the rather strong, warm, flavorful dipping broth, and it's delicious. The regrettable part is the unfriendliness and bad attitude of the young-looking, gyaru-style female staff member. Whether they were acquaintances or regulars, she was chatting loudly with customers and glaring at us out of the corner of her eye—very free-spirited. Well, that's common at shops in the countryside. These days customer harassment (kasuhara) and such are in the news, and the relationship with customers is basically equal, so maybe it can't be helped to some extent. With slightly more polite service, I'd want to come often.

A renowned shop in Iwamizawa. The soba's aroma, flavor, and smoothness going down go without saying. It's fantastic that you can choose sarashina, namiko, or inaka to best suit the soba dish you order.

About a 15-minute walk from Iwamizawa Station. It's in a corner of a residential area. I wanted to eat thick inaka soba, searched, and found this place. It opens at 11:30, but the noren curtain went up around 11:25 so I could go in early. Parking is in front of and beside the shop, and I think about 8 cars can park. Inside there's counter seating, tables, and a raised tatami area, and soba tea was provided free as self-service. It was a cold day, but I ordered the cold Fukumatsu soba with inaka soba and a squid tempura topping for 250 yen. You can choose from 3 kinds of soba: inaka, sarashina, and namiko (regular)! The Fukumatsu soba has natto, grated yam (tororo), green onion, grated daikon, julienned cucumber, kamaboko, takuan, nori, and egg yolk—nothing but things I love. The strength of the kaeshi was just right, and the dark, thick inaka soba was firmly chilled with a great bite! The soba aroma was strong too, and it all came together with the toppings so deliciously I couldn't stop. The sweet-saltiness of the takuan, the refreshing cucumber and daikon, the richness of the tororo and egg yolk, the aroma and stickiness of the natto, the ocean scent of the kamaboko and nori, and the sharp accent of the green onion. The squid tempura was also very delicious! The soba-yu was light, a slightly cloudy white yet clear type. But it had aroma and was easy to drink. Service from order to serving was quick, and customers kept coming in one after another. The staff were cheerful and pleasant, and I had a lovely meal. A place I definitely want to come back to. Thank you for the meal.
