池田ワイン城Ikeda Wain Shiro
"Wine Castle," the symbol of Ikeda Town, Hokkaido. A tourist facility where you can enjoy the appeal of "Tokachi Wine," produced by Hokkaido's oldest winery (Ikeda Town Grape and Wine Research Institute), with all five senses. Inside, in addition to selling Tokachi Wine and paid tastings, there are guided tours to learn about Tokachi Wine, plus a restaurant and terrace cafe where you can enjoy Tokachi ingredients and scenery. Recommended not only for wine lovers but also for sightseeing with family and friends.

The food was average, but the desserts were delicious. The wine was just okay. I prefer the aroma of Otaru wine.
View on GoogleThis wine castle has been beautifully renovated. On the restaurant floor, you can purchase grape soft serve ice cream and grape sorbet without a reservation. You can enjoy them right there on the terrace seats, gazing out at the scenic pastures and forgetting your busy schedule as you relax. You can also savor soft serve ice cream topped with concentrated grape sauce, reminiscent of affogato. The restaurant often has group reservations and can involve significant wait times, so booking ahead is advisable if you want to ensure you get a meal. On the first floor, you can purchase a wide variety of wines, which I always buy as souvenirs. My favorite is the sweet, juice-like Niagara.
View on GoogleThe view was gorgeous. Unfortunately the restaurant was closed that day. They have winetasting but charge for each taste so difficult to compare wines. Most places have a set fee. But they have a shop with many varieties
