An art museum displaying works by calligrapher Shinsho Kaneda, an honorary citizen of Horonobe. Commonly known as “Shinshokan.” Shinsho Kaneda moved to Horonobe with his family shortly after birth and later became an active calligrapher. He died in Heisei 2, the year Shinshokan was completed. The museum has 2 floors, with Shinsho Kaneda's works hung on the walls. You can also watch a video about him. The building itself has a highly artistic architectural design. There is also a ceramics gallery and café on floor 1. Admission is 300 yen for adults and 150 yen for children. Please note that photography inside the museum is prohibited.

You can see calligraphy works unlike anything I've seen before. The museum has a clear, pure atmosphere. It's far away, but I recommend it. I try to visit at least once a year.

Even local residents don't know much about it, but the building is impressive and very clean. There are fewer exhibits than I expected.

Closed even though it should have been open. Even when contacted, the municipal office's response was that they didn't know.
