I tried climbing up with my dog. Sneakers and light everyday clothes were fine, and there were benches right around the point where I started feeling tired, so I comfortably did the round trip in about an hour. I went up and down from the roadside-station side, but if you have time to spare, I'd also recommend descending toward 本別公園!

I walked around the area for the first time in over 10 years. It's quiet and good. It gets dark quickly this time of year, so walking alone might be a little scary. It was just the right walking route. Watch out for bears⚠️
