Had Sushi here which was really good and tasted fresh. Waiting time was also not long. It also has a lot of free parking space.

Heading toward Hokuto on National Route 227, shortly after passing the signs for the ferry and Sapporo direction, it's across from DCM. I always had the impression it was crowded, but when I passed near opening time there weren't many cars parked, so this was my first visit in quite a while. There was the usual ticket machine for queue numbers at the entrance, but the cashier guided us instead, which felt nicer than a mechanical guide.. Sitting at the counter, what goes around on the conveyor is teacups and the like; sushi is ordered by tablet and served by the chef from across the counter. It's nice that you can choose with wasabi, but it may be horseradish, and sometimes it was so spicy it made me choke. I thought the sushi rice was hand-pressed, but the sharp-edged shape suggests a sushi robot. When I looked around the shop to order, there were posters for "cod tempura" and "cod gunkan", the so-called tachi (milt) dishes that are in season now, so I was eager to order, but the terminal showed sold out, which was disappointing. In the end I ordered: live thread-sail filefish, engawa nigiri, spear squid nigiri, live-killed black rockfish, live kaiwari (pompano-type jack), large red shrimp nigiri, sujiko nigiri, and crab miso gunkan. All were fresh and delicious. I was satisfied with the finishing seared scallop umami salt ramen.

I came after hearing about it from a friend. Because it was a long holiday weekend, the variety of toppings was small. The mackerel was cured too much, so it was just so-so.

I wanted to eat seafood in Hakodate and stopped by Nagomitei Nanaehama. The atmosphere was easy to walk into, and it left an impression that I could use it without hesitation even in the middle of sightseeing. I could casually enjoy fresh toppings and kept wanting to order one thing after another. The atmosphere isn't too lively, so even families can eat leisurely, and I felt it's a shop where you can make a food memory typical of Hakodate.
