This whole park is very pretty. It's one of the best cycling locations in all of southwestern Hokkaido, in my opinion! The view at this point is excellent--unless the weather is super nasty, you should have a great view of Hokkaido Komagatake, the most picturesque mountain in this region of Hokkaido. If you're a cyclist and you want a good challenge, definitely climb Kijihiki!

About a year ago I visited きじひき高原パノラマ展望台, but unfortunately the road was closed, so I couldn't see it! This time I finally made it. The scenery is lovely, and it was completely satisfying 🏞️😍 Visit date: 2025.09.24

My first visit 😃✌️ After enjoying a refreshing drive along a winding road, I was expecting a panoramic view, but it was foggy and I couldn't see Funka Bay 🙈🙈🙈 Apparently the fog was going to clear after this though 😅😅😅

A viewpoint on the plateau, with simple raised steps by the roadside and no other facilities. The view is wide open, but the sky has to be very clear for you to see Funka Bay and Mt. Yotei properly.

A few minutes past the パノラマ展望台 there is a parking space on the road shoulder. That is the 噴火湾眺望台. Beyond the vast pasture you can see Komagatake. If you squint, you can tell that the sea lies behind it. That seems to be Funka Bay. I'm glad I went a bit further from the パノラマ展望台. It was a majestic view, very much like Hokkaido.
