金庫岩. There is no problem when visibility is clear, but in fog, hikers have mistaken ニセ金庫岩 for 金庫岩, wandered onto a subsidiary ridge, and become lost. Taking the trouble to always check your route on a map is a basic principle of hiking. So you can return alive.

That 金庫岩 which has misled so many hikers. On the route up from the ropeway station, 金庫岩 is visible from a distance in clear weather, so there is no problem. The closer 偽金庫岩 is hidden behind the terrain and cannot be seen; conversely, when visibility is poor and you cannot see far, 偽金庫岩 is probably the first one you notice. If you walk inside the ropes, you will not be fooled by 金庫岩 and 偽金庫岩. Good times.

It has a nicer shape than ニセ金庫岩 (in my opinion). The view from here is good too, but the summit is right ahead, so let's push on a little farther.

Once you reach 金庫岩, it is the final steep climb. You have to choose where you can climb, passing other hikers is difficult, and it is more tiring than expected, but the summit is just beyond.

Rather than a safe, it is a huge, block-shaped volcanic rock. When there is a rock with a name like this that probably did not exist in the Edo period, you can tell the place became a tourist destination relatively recently.
