The place was name after the owner's dog, a small sausage dog. The cafe serve good coffee and complete meals. I tried their curry rice is delicious and homemake. Mild hot for typical south east asian. A good stop over anytime. The owner is into jewelry making as well as a cafe owner. His brother, who is a pottery maker residences next door with his store. The place is serene and oversee a small pond. The time i went was the start of autumn. I guess it be very beautiful when the whole place is covered with snow.

A cafe in the mountains behind Kamui More ski area in Higashikawa. If you follow the navigation, you'll see a sign along the road. Continue along the road and you'll reach the entrance to the gallery, where you turn toward the gallery side. The shop is at the back of the gallery. Parking is the free space on the right side as you face the shop, I guess? Three cars is the limit. The shop entrance is easy to find. When I went in, the signboard dog Hana-chan greeted me energetically. The shop seems to be run by an elderly couple alone? They welcomed me kindly and warmly. For food, I had a hot sandwich, keema curry, and genovese pasta. I got the impression it's cooked very carefully, and the taste is also '◎'. The curry had chunky meat and vegetables and was nicely spiced and delicious, The genovese let me enjoy the basil aroma and color while the seafood ingredients mingled with the pasta deliciously. The hot sandwich had excellent compatibility between cheese and ingredients, also delicious. A shop I'll definitely return to. I plan to visit again.
