We came here for lunch on a Monday on our way to Tomakomai. We we're pleasantly surprised by the taste of both dishes We ordered. This is a restaurant operated by an elderly couple, so if you arrive after 12 for lunch it might be a longer wait. Overall Highly recommended

First visit for lunch 🍙 There were already ２ groups, and １ had been served! I'd seen a comment saying the soba was delicious, so I wrestled with the menu, focusing on soba! One companion chose the katsudon set, yep yep, the other chose shrimp tempura soba with egg, oh, I wanted a hearty meal, so I settled on oyakodon and mori soba! The lady looked busy, so I went over to tell her our order 🏃 A katsudon set with hot soba, shrimp tempura soba with egg, and oyakodon plus mori soba, please! Then the lady said, so, an oyakodon set! No no, I want a proper portion of soba too, so each separately! Then make the set a large portion, it's 100円 extra and you'll get the same amount! she said 😳 Oh, really! Then please make the katsudon set large too 🙇‍♂️ After all that, the dishes arrived in about 15 minutes! Oh, smells good 👃 First the soba, country-style soba? Quite firm and delicious 😋 The tsuyu is the kind I like too 😍 Then the oyakodon, oh, such a nostalgic feeling〜😆 What is it, if it had kamaboko in it and nori on top, it would be just like the neighborhood diner I used to eat at all the time! Nostalgic and delicious 😋 Partway through, I swapped for hot soba, also delicious 😋 My chopsticks wouldn't stop 🥢 Finished in no time 😋 I'll have to come back! But really, Soba Taro is good, Natsukawa is good, and this place is good too 🙆 Hidaka is a hidden gem for soba lovers. A very satisfying lunch 😋 Thanks for the meal 😋
