It is very hot. Cant believe that it is naturally this hot! I hope the hot temperature kills any bacteria or fungus that people may bring into the bath. Everyone seems to really enjoy it.
View on GoogleA Simple Pleasure Worth Experiencing Yunokawa Onsen Footbath isn’t a big attraction, but that’s exactly its charm. It’s peaceful, authentic, and gives you a chance to slow down—something I really appreciated during my trip. If you’re visiting Hakodate, especially the Yunokawa area, this little footbath is absolutely worth a stop. It’s simple, free, and wonderfully relaxing on a heavy snowfall day—exactly the kind of local experience that makes travel memorable. - Easy to access: Located right by the tram stop, it’s incredibly convenient. I loved that I could hop off, soak my feet, and continue exploring without any hassle. - Clean and well‑maintained: The footbath area is tidy, warm, and clearly cared for. Even as a foreigner, I felt completely comfortable using it. - Naturally hot spring water: The temperature is perfect—warm enough to soothe tired legs after walking around Hakodate, but gentle enough to enjoy for a long time. - Timing: I visited on a chilly day, and the contrast between the snowfall and the hot spring water was heavenly.
View on GoogleA nice little foot spa on the corner of the intersection near the tram stations. A little weird location to have it there. But it was enjoyable and very warm. I would suggest it as a great stop during the winter. Advised to have a small towel or handkerchief to dry off your feet. It is clean, but this is a shared public foot bath. Don’t worry. It’s part of Japanese culture and was nice. Recommend maybe 5-10 minutes there. Note that there was some construction going on and it looks like they might be temporarily closing it while they redo the sidewalk and granite around the bath in the intersection so be aware it might be closed. Caution it is very hot for westerners to be advised.
View on GoogleThis foot onsen place is right next to the tram stop but can't seem to find info anywhere. Maybe that's why nobody comes here even though the vicinity is full of onsen hotels.
View on GoogleJust relax and enjoy foot onsen. This is free foot onsen close to the tram station. Donot forget to bring a towel or tissue to dry your feet after that.
