Canadian tourist here, solo traveller. I came here late at night for some dinner, since the other nearby shops were closing or have no seats available. Now the only mistake that I regret as a tourist solely relying on Google translate is not choosing the food off of the hanging menu (directly above the counter) for other hot dishes. But the laminated menu on the counter is good too, though if you want to order squid, look above the counter. I got 6 items: Octopus sashimi, that other fish sashimi, grilled squid, 2 other fish items that were served hot (forogt to take a picture), and a mug of Sapporo beer. Staff were very friendly, the atmosphere was great!

Food was really really good and not too expensive. The potato dish was interesting, never had it with fermented squid! The grilled fish and sashimi were also great quality. Highly recommend this place

What an amazing find! Fresh sashimi and delicious food at this small Izakaya filled with locals. There is no English menu, but you can easily translate the menu using Google translate. The ladies here are very friendly and hospitable. We would definitely come back!

Without a word of Japanese, we entered in a series of pointing and hai hai hai, we had a great dinner experience. The food was tasty, the owners were patient and cheerful. The warm sake also warmed the spirits. An awesome dining experience.
