Went in before 12, a man and a woman, 2 people total メンチカツ set, 250 grams Ladies' set? The メンチカツ is pretty good! Ordered a large rice portion, but it was a huge serving that looked like more than 500g ! I ended up leaving about 100g ※The チキン南蛮 feels different from the authentic Kyushu version, ※The miso soup is very salty! I diluted it with water, but it was still salty, so I left half. (Sorry) ※I'd like a little more punch in the sauce ※※※It would be nice to have mustard and shichimi on the table ※I think they use inexpensive rice, but studying how to wash and cook it should help them serve slightly tastier rice. (The smell bothered me just a tiny bit.) ※ Maybe raise the price by 100円 and increase the amount of cabbage
View on GoogleI've come around five times at lunchtime, but every time I happened to be greeted by a temporary-closure notice It was raining this time, but when I tried visiting in the evening, they were open Walked in with a smile No umbrella stand I was planning to land at a counter seat, but the seat mat was backward and its washing-instructions tag greeted me I went ahead and ordered the regular set with the regular 250-gram portion If you just want to try it, I recommend 200 grams; I'm a gambler, so I went with 250 There were about 5 people around me, including office workers heading home, and the atmosphere was peaceful Water is self-service and isn't particularly cold It arrived after about 20 minutes; it looks big, and it really is big lol I'm a soy-sauce person, but they only have sauce here. I came across another place like this recently too. Cutting into the メンチカツ releases a little meat juice, and it's not too hot, so even people sensitive to hot food can just about handle it. Incredibly tender. Wonderful flavor and aroma. Smooth on the tongue too It was so fluffy that I suspected it was undercooked and cut it open in various places, but there were absolutely no pink parts Sorry for doubting you m(._.)m While I'm at it, to say something a little rude, can メンチカツ really be this delicious? No complaints But now I want more If the メンチカツ is this good, I want to come back and try other menu items next time If you like firm メンチカツ cooked thoroughly, this gets a no Everyone, this place is unbeatable for soft, fluffy メンチカツ Please come🙏
View on GoogleOrdered the チキン南蛮 set (1,100円). I was very satisfied with its surprisingly large size and moist meat. The coating is moist rather than crispy too. The portion was so substantial that there wasn't quite enough rice to go with it. It was busy, so the food took a while to arrive, but I don't think that's a problem if you're not in a hurry. I heard the メンチ is popular, so I'd like to visit again!
View on GoogleThe place had quite an appearance, and it took some courage to step through the entrance curtain, but I'm glad I visited! It's a set-meal restaurant that specializes in メンチカツ. There aren't many seats, and they fry the food after you order, so there's a little wait when it's busy. This time I ordered キーマメンチカレー with a cheese topping, thinking, I want to have this set-meal restaurant's miso soup too! Water is self-service. Huh? There was a daily lunch special on the whiteboard too! I missed it lol Contrary to the atmosphere of the place, they're on ウォルト and インスタ. They also have a good selection of takeaway bento, and of course メンチカツ. And here comes the curry with a bang! Huge メンチカツ, lots of rice too! Can I finish this? lolol First, the miso soup, with wakame. ...It really soothes a tired body. The broth has a sliiightly unusual aroma, and it's delicious. The keema is a spicy, tomato-based curry with chunky vegetables such as carrots and bell peppers. The heat level is about ココイチ regular. The メンチカツ is thick and substantial, but piping hot and moist inside. The curry doesn't have much minced meat, so they go well together. (People who dislike tomatoes and vegetables might want to avoid it.) But that portion size. I'm not a light eater, but finishing it was tough. For the service of leaving you completely full, it's ◎ and 5 My top recommendation for anyone who likes fried-food set meals.
View on GoogleFrom Hakodate Station, follow National Route 5 toward Sapporo, turn right at the 「五稜郭公園」 sign, then turn left into the side road past the gas company. Go a little farther and it's on the left. It's a nostalgic-looking place that seems to have been around for a long time, run by a young proprietress (?). The menu said メンチカツ was their specialty, so I debated a little between the version topped with demi-glace sauce and cheese and the plain one you add sauce to yourself, then chose the former. The regular size is 250g, and I thought I might run out of rice, so I chose a medium portion. Together, they make quite a substantial meal. The メンチカツ wasn't very fatty or heavy, and went well with the richness of the cheese and the pleasantly tart demi-glace sauce. I enjoyed it right to the end. Since there was quite a lot, perhaps 200g of メンチカツ and a regular rice portion would have been enough.
