The hot soba was delicious, I wish I could drink it every day. It was a perfect meal on a winter's day. There's also a lovely atmosphere and service.

A soba specialty shop in Hakodate which dedicates their time and effort to the art of making soba. The soba here is bouncy, chewy and al dente- the fragrance of buckwheat is captured in the soba. Though the sauce accompanying the soba looks simple and unassuming, it paired perfectly with the soba. I preferred the cold soba over the hot soba. The tempura here is well done- crispy and not too oily. Buckwheat pudding is fragrant and not too sweet- a must try for tea lovers Portion here can be slightly small for the price point you pay. Service here is friendly.

The best soba noodles we had this trip. It's bouncy and perfectly cooked. We order cold soba set meal that comes with a sakura shrimp tempura with veggies, it's very light and not greasy at all. It comes with green tea salt which compliment the seafood taste very well. Free hot tea is self service and the staff is very friendly also trying his best to help us with the orders. The restaurant is a traditional Japanese house and there are two types of dining room, we were seated at the Japanese tatami room. You will need to take off your shoes to enter the tatami dining room. You can pay 100yen more for 100% buckwheat soba but I read that though it's healthier, it is also less chewy. The regular one we were having is 80% buckwheat and 20% wheat flour. They take both cash and card payment.

Ordered the cold soba noodles, it was cooked to perfection, their handmade tofu was surprisingly delicious as well. Downside is there are limited seating capacity
