A small local food shop, no English or Chinese menu, only Japanese speaking. They only serve daily fresh food, just simple seasoning then grill. Sashimi like tuna, salmon. But not much varieties. The grilled fish is good, esp those small one. The locals reserved before. We went there around 5pm, seems to be the earliest. It’s a good dining experience. The grilled squid is juicy and delicious. The asparagus also, fresh and sweet.

Great little izakaya! There is no English or picture menu but the owners were lovely and extremely accommodating given our complete lack of comprehension. We ordered mostly by pointing at what other people were eating and at photos on Google. They were so good natured and even gave us a free little snack. Food was delicious - must order the grilled fish and the grilled squid!

My favorite place in Hakodate. Added to my come-back restaurants lists.

The SAKE served was not the plum wine we were pointed out on the menu. There was no rice in お茶漬け.The staff gave us different dishes(something like 焼き) The price was also more expensive than we expected and no detailed on the bills. The staff couldn’t read what we pointed on the menu correctly but guessed and ordered wrong dishes to the kitchen. The food menu is totally not the same as those on GOOGLE reviews.

Reservations are a must. They only accept 5:00 and 5:30. It's been here since Daimon Yokocho opened, and if you want to eat seafood, this is the place. I've been coming for years, and it never disappoints. This time, the sakuramasu (cherry salmon) sashimi and the complimentary homemade kirikomi were especially delicious. I always eat the simmered hokke (Atka mackerel). When I go to Hakodate again, I'll definitely stop by✨
