Was finding for sushi on google maps, and this was one of the results. Food & service did not disappoint. Good quality sushi with a cozy and authentic ambience. Another plus point is that their opening hours are till late, so no issue in getting a late dinner. Will definitely go again when I have the chance to do so.

My husband said it was the best sushi he's eaten in his life in Japan (Hokkaido + Tokyo) exceptional sushi and excellent service. Sat at the bar, they served the sushi directly onto the bar table. Freshly ground wasabi is served upon ordering sashimi. Ended off with a delicious hot bowl of I would think dashi soup.

Very fresh ingredients. Exceptional sushi night with great service from a very authentic local shop in Hakodate !!! We are so glad to have found this hidden gems.

The chef may look stern, but deep down he is a caring chef for his customers. When you open your heart to him, you will be rewarded with good food and his care. Strongly recommend for any Americans who venture out the tourist comfort zone. You will be treated with a wonderful sushi dinner.

This restaurant didn’t accept foreigners, we were not welcomed. They had plenty of space but the cook at the bar made a ‘cross’ with his hands and told us to leave. Incredibly unfriendly. Can’t recommend if you’re not Asian.
