This conveyor-belt sushi restaurant is located on the B1 floor of the commercial building across the rotary from Hakodate Station. It opens at 11:00 AM, but numbered waiting tickets are distributed at the storefront starting from 10:00 AM. Since I visited at 10:00 AM on a weekday during the off-season, I was about the 7th group in line and got in during the first seating. However, I got the impression that it becomes extremely crowded by 10:00 AM during peak seasons. While the indoor waiting area saves you from the weather, you might want to plan ahead if you prefer not to waste time waiting. As a solo diner at the counter, I noticed that the chopsticks and hot water dispenser for tea weren't directly in front of me. Having to reach over in front of the customers next to me while they were eating felt a bit awkward and uncomfortable. The sushi itself features well-formed rice and a great balance with the toppings. They offer many unique Hokkaido specialties, like scallop milt (shirako), making it well worth the visit. In fact, I went twice during my 3-day stay! Although they have popular branches in the Kanto region, the selection of ingredients may differ from Hokkaido. If you are looking for a sushi spot in Hakodate, this one is highly recommended for both its quality and convenient location.
View on GoogleAs everyone said, a really really good conveyor belt sushi- food was delicious, fresh (they’re by the port and fish market, cut down transportation you cannot get much fresher than that hahahah), definitely a must try. And pay attention to the daily recommendations from staff!! For this specific shop I recommend getting there to line up at 10am, when they open the queue, getting a ticket and coming back by 11am when the shop actually opens. Went on high season and this trick worked just fine, second in line :)
View on GoogleReally enjoyed the meal here. We have been meaning to try this chain and was able to in Hakodate. Taste: The food was really fresh. Noticed the chefs would check dishes for freshness that have made it around for slightly longer. Highlight for me would be the chutoro. Logistics: When we signed up, there were 32 people ahead of us. The restaurant was very efficient in getting people seated and the tables turned around. We went around prime dinner time 6:10pm and was able to get seated with a table of 4 (2 adults and 2 kids) in a little over half an hour. The staff speaks English. They have English and Korean menus. You can order beyond the conveyor belt by item codes. Environment: There were plenty of seats for single diners and several tables for larger parties. For a family of four with young children it was a great environment. We felt very welcomed and were able to let our hair down and enjoy the meal.
View on GoogleTook queue number at 2PM and was seated around 2:15PM. Sashimi was very fresh and enjoyable. Although the staff spoke limited English, their service was still great and they were friendly throughout.
View on GoogleThe wait was the main issue for me. I went around 6pm there was like 6 groups ahead of me waited like 40mins. They do have waiting chairs outside. Just use the ticketing machine to input how many guest you have and wait for your number to be called. Scallop roll was best for me.
