Amazing cute shop with a calming atmosphere, beautiful locally made products. A must visit for anyone looking for unique gifts. Some of the products are even made by the owner herself! Many clothes, some ceramics and glass but also many more handcrafted figures and Japanese booklets.

Very nice place! The owner is very welcoming and kind, we had a great conversation as he spoke good English! This has been a highlight of our trip to Japan and one we will remember! There are so many beautiful items here, I wish we could have bought more if we had more space in our bags!

walking around Hakodate and stumbled into one of the most fantastic little spots in the city. The owner was so friendly, answering and asking questions and he spoke great english. Had such a unique selection and there’s a little bit of something for everyone. Genuinely cannot recommend this place enough!!

I visited in late November 2021. While out for a walk, I became very interested in a cat doll by the window and worked up the courage to go inside. I was very satisfied to be able to take my time viewing works by many artists alongside the owner’s thoughtful explanations. Since we were on our honeymoon, we bought stained glass and a few other items as mementos. It was such a lovely space and experience that I would like to travel to Hakodate again to visit Gallery Muraoka. Please take good care of your health.
