I'd been curious about this place since before it opened, but hadn't managed to visit… I finally made it. Just inside the entrance are an ordering machine and a payment machine, where you place your order and pay. I ordered the limited-time ジャークチキン. You can choose small, regular, large, or extra-large rice portions, and I chose small. For an additional charge, I had tofu added to the miso soup, and added a salad. It was relatively quiet, so it felt like I could take my time choosing. They call your meal-ticket number, and you collect the food yourself. My number was called fairly quickly. Since I'd never eaten ジャークチキン before, I don't know whether this was the correct flavor, but it was spicier than I'd expected, and the sauce on top was rather salty. I'm curious about the other menu items too, so I'd like to visit again.

As someone who knew the “cheap and tasty 松屋” during my time in 東京, this experience at the 鍛冶 branch was a very harsh one. The brand that once had my back late at night now adds a +7% late-night charge, with a single set meal costing just under a thousand yen. While prices keep rising, the miso soup served is cold, the meat is thinner, and the vegetables are less fresh—a “negative reversal” is taking place. The reality that the harsh working conditions of a one-person operation are casting a shadow over quality left me, as a fan, feeling a sadness that goes beyond a 3-star rating.

It feels clean because it's new. A clean 松屋, neither above nor below expectations. Open 24 hours. Apparently a late-night surcharge of around 7% applies from 22時～5時.

I ordered 味噌ロースかつ定食. You select your menu items at the machine by the entrance, then pay at a different machine farther inside. It's nice that the monitor displays your number and the waiting time. After waiting about 10 minutes, I was called and went to collect my food, but the tonkatsu was at room temperature. I'd expected it to be piping hot, so that was disappointing. Water and tea are self-service too. It's a place where you can get reasonably decent tonkatsu at an affordable price.
