People of Hakodate (and visitors) what are you thinking? Apparently there are 17 branches of Lucky Pierrot burger joints across the city. Having eaten here tonight on the back of many recommendations and reviews I can only conclude that it’s 17 branches too many. The burger was ok and fries were good and all very reasonably priced but the place was a complete dump. Absolutely horrific Christmas decorations wherever you looked and dreadful disco-fied Christmas tunes playing non stop. It looks like the place has never seen a duster let alone had a proper clean. Maybe this was not the best branch to visit but if they are all like this AVOID.
View on GoogleI tried Chinese chicken burger for lunch and it is quite delicious. There is queue since the place is small. And I am back again during night for dinner, google said the restaurant closed at 20.00 but out the last order is 19.00 and we can’t dine in, only take out. Lol we almost didn’t make it for dinner order. We order at 18.50 after queueing. Oh they don’t accept IC card as payment so we end up using cash
View on GoogleThis is a Christmas -themed Lucky Pierrot. Even in February you can get swallowed by the overwhelming Christmasness of the place. And of course there is American Christmas Jazz playing in the background. What a weird but amazing experience to have in February! The food is the basic lucky Pierrot stuff. Very tasty.
View on GoogleAwesome Christmas themed Lucky Pierrot. It was super busy when we went but we were able to order and get food very quickly despite there only being a handful of staff. This is a small store, so wouldn’t recommend dining in if you are in a large group. Great if you’re a couple or by yourself though. Some excellent merch available here too, particularly novelty magnets and stickers.
View on GoogleTourist trap. This is the real life version of Krusty's burgers from the Simpsons. The ambience and decorations are Christmas themed but it felt eerie and weird. If you order soda with no ice, they only fill you half. If you protest and ask for more they refuse saying they only press a button that automatically fills it up to that quantity. You have to pay double to get 1 full glass of soda, which contrary to its name, is not a large size. I ordered a double burguer with large fries and soda, they don't have it in a combo, or how they call it in Japan: "setto", so I had to order these items separately which increased the total price. The burguer was beyond soft and tasted like bad meatballs. They have the tendency all over Japan to make burgers in a weird way and this one just made it worse by adding some crazy mix of sauces. You feel the flavors were more in the sauces than in the meat itself. Add to that the weird texture that is so soft it almost felt like whipped cream. No wonder not many people were inside. Also, in this particular location, you have to get up a flight of stairs to go to the seats. These stair space is tight and they have decorations taking space out of it so only one person can go up or down. Then when the order is up you have to go down to get it yourself. Not friendly for wheelchairs or the elderly people.
